The Components of Supreme Illumination

During this program you’ll learn about three areas that will fortify your experience understanding of how a practice that includes inversions can unlock the inner bliss waiting inside.

Component 1: SRY Inversions

Inversions have a profound effect on holding Soma nectar in the body and clearing the mind of old conditioning to make way for an illumined viewpoint. In this component of the training, you’ll learn to practice and teach inversions and their effect on every level — physical, subtle, and intellectual.

Component 2: Inner Illumination

Inversions allow us to reverse our perspective. Here we get access to insight, intuition, and illumination. The experience opens the doorway to the most supreme illumination — the “a-ha” moment of awakening, which is the clarity that comes from shifting your normal human perspective. By inverting your view, you have the opportunity to shift your approach to life, spiritual growth, and your search for happiness.

Component 3: The Subtle Spine

Authentic teachings of the primary aspects of the subtle spinal column — Kuṇḍaīnī Śakti, Soma nectar, and the key spinal Chakras — are rare to find, but offer deeply transformative wisdom. In this third component of Supreme Illumination, you’ll learn how to understand and cultivate a proper relationship with the subtle aspects of the spine. With this understanding, you will build a deeper respect for the subtle body and learn how to recognize and heal disturbances here using inversions and other SRY practices.

A talk about Therapeutic Inversions

  • Coming from a conventional yoga background
  • Coming from a restorative yoga background
  • What “inversion fear” is really about
  • A Therapeutic approach to inversions
  • The “trap” of becoming overly precious about the body
  • How inversions make you more resilient
  • Doing Supreme Illumination as a retreat vs a training
  • The Psycho-Spiritual effect of Inversions and the Ego’s Fear of Awakening
  • How we will approach inversions safely and slowly
  • The Benefits of Inversions

The SRY Approach to Inversions

Inversions offer wonderful benefits to the physical and subtle body, the mind and the intellect. The SRY approach to inversions has no end goal in mind and does not force anything. Instead, SRY inversions allow the practitioner to gently release into a shift of perspective, gaining the benefits of holding Soma nectar within the body and experiencing profound revitalization.

Benefits of the SRY approach to inversions include:

  • Decompressing the spine
  • Reversing gravity’s effect and shift the flow of prāna
  • Stimulating thyroid health
  • Bringing healing to the circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems
  • Creating space for internal organs
  • Increasing youthfulness and suppleness
