Students spend the day diving into experiential learning, partner pairing, and teachings on the Vedic viewpoint of yogic sleep. You’ll leave with a deeper practice of Śavāsana for yourself, a profound understanding of the purpose and potential of Śavāsana and the skill to deliver this to others.

What You’ll Learn

The bliss of Śavāsana is unlike anything else in a Yoga practice. While Yoga teachers may think of this pose as the easiest part of a sequence to teach, learning how to create a deeper experience here will create new opportunities for your personal practice and teaching.

Additionally, learning how to guide deeper release through Yoga Nidrā significantly increases the effectiveness of your students’ experience in Śavāsana.

In this training you will learn:

  • What is Yoga Nidrā.
  • The importance of teaching and practicing Śavāsana effectively.
  • How to set up supported Śavāsana to induce states of profound relaxation, including propping and alignments based on the needs of the spine.
  • The yogic perspective on the supine position.
  • Advaita Vedanta teachings on the states of waking, sleep, and deep sleep.
  • How to write your own unique and effective Yoga Nidrā scripts.

Yoga teachers gain 8 CEU hours! Pair this one-day training with Supreme Release Yoga Fundamentals: Supreme Spine {May 17} and learn to teach a complete SRY practice.
