Class Descriptions

For students of all levels.

Focus on the most essential poses and practices for deep release and healing.  Interweave the essential poses for spinal release with poses that allow you to carry your openness into your life.


Take your yoga to a new level with deeper poses, practices, and adjustments. A blissfully paced class in a room full of other experienced students intertwines practice and the philosophy of Patanjali's Yoga Sūtras.  The effect is a more profound and direct experience of the potential of yoga.  Deeper classes are usually taught in 4-week modules, allowing us to more deeply build toward a particular teaching.  Though you are welcome to drop-in, you will benefit most from attending all four classes of a series. *Yoga therapy is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for Deeper students.


For students of all levels.

This class takes you on a journey from discovering ease in your physical body, to cultivating an experience of bliss which you carry into and through a simple guided meditation.  As a human being, you are built for profound spiritual awakening, most deeply available to you through meditation. Experience individual attention and profound support for your body and mind so that you can learn to sit comfortably and develop a yoga practice that that take you naturally and easefully into meditation.


For students planning a pregnancy or already expecting.  

Open your body, mind and heart for prenatal comfort, smooth delivery and fast post natal healing.  Mother and baby benefit beyond measure from the specialized pelvic release, heart opening and quieting of the mind and nervous system that spinal release yoga for pregnancy provides.  We open up the space behind the baby, giving you more baby-room & more space for your internal organs to function! We also do lengthening practices to help you feel longer & taller and take the pressure off of your low back.  Most importantly, we do effective practices for calming your mind in the midst of the profound changes that are happening to you both inside & outside.  Each class includes lots of propping & hands-on adjustments and guidance so that you feel safe, supported and nurtured.  Doing yoga with other moms also offers an important network and sense of mama community.  Dads or women who are planning a pregnancy are welcome too! *Embodyment(R) sessions for pregnant students are also available.


For students and yoga teachers dealing with hyperflexible joints & pain.

Learn specific poses, alignments and pose sequences for a body that has hyper-mobile joints, always paired with a tight and compressed spine.  This class is for you if you deal with one or more of the following common effects of hyper-flexibility:

  • an ability to move your body into extreme angles
  • cracking or popping joints
  • history of having a "rib out"
  • very tight hip creases
  • a need to move constantly / inability to sit still for long periods
  • pain that moves around your body & especially in various joints
  • a twisted pelvis, lordosis (swayback in the waist area)
  • turned out legs and feet ("dancer legs")
  • digestive sensitivity or food allergies
  • a history of dance or gymnastics 
  • female gender

In this class you'll not only gain practices designed just for you, but discover the underlying mental patterns that pair with the physical tendency toward hyper-flexibility.  Finally experience deep release and a sense of letting go, that your rigid spine has been resisting!    These classes are usually taught in 4-week modules, and though you are welcome to drop-in, you will benefit most from attending all four classes of a series.  *Yoga therapy is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for hyper-flexible students.
