Therapeutic Yoga for the Spine

No mats, no mirrors, no strain!  These yoga classes are based in the ancient description of yoga mastery: "Abandon all effort, and contemplate the infinite".  Experience a nourishing yoga that opens the body gently, yet deeply from the inside out.

Precise angles, soft blankets as props, and hands-on adjustments ensure therapeutic poses that release deep layers of spinal tension. As a result of this "core opening", blockages throughout the body dissolve while pain and old mental patterns melt away.  Ancient teachings from the yoga tradition are woven into every class, and each class focuses on a particular theme.

These yoga classes and sessions are approachable and beneficial for new students and offers a powerful and authentic practice to experienced yogis.   In a non-competitive environment, you'll develop the capacity to care for the body with a generous indifference, and expand your capacity to transcend your sense of limitation and discover the expansiveness of being.

Last night I attended your class for the first time - today I walked without pain in my joints, my knees and hips.  I felt like another person. My body has not felt this free for many years!" - Susan W, Sausalito

This yoga is a true oasis of calm in my busy, pressured life. The first shavasana always removes my work-related tension and lets my body relax and rejuvenate.  By the end, I am often in another realm, altogether." - Judy S, Sacramento
